The 12th
annual President’s Day President’s Ride will be Sunday, February 17th.
Due to the extreme cold weather in the Sheep Creek
area last month the ride has been changed to a
tour of the South Denali trail system, with a side trip to a special
place. This will be an intermediate level ride with some fast-paced
cruising on groomed trails as well as some off-trail swamp riding.
Conditions permitting, there may be some side hilling and moderate
climbs, but you can wait at the bottom of the hill if you want to.
We’ll depart the parking lot at MP 121.5 of the Parks Highway at 10:30
sharp—that means at 10:30 we’ll be signed in, briefed and squeezing the
throttle, so be there early enough to unload, sign in, prepare and
leave. For those of you who want to join us at the Reflector Tree,
we’ll leave there at 11:25 on the dot. Bring lunch or snacks, water and
plan on about 65-70 miles. If you have questions, e-mail us or leave a
message on the hotline. See you Sunday
